with reports from Particia Camille Panti (Project Coordinator for SAFE II)

Serving as principal executors of projects, staff of Educo Philippines attended a three-day training session on Child-Centered Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CCDRRM) and Education in Emergencies (EiE) last June 13 – 15, 2024, at the Pepperland Hotel in Legazpi City, Albay.

The said training initiative was positioned to enhance the competencies of the organization’s personnel in the field of disaster risk reduction focusing on child-led approaches and activities.

This is prior to the launching of SAFE II Project (Strengthening Accountability for Girls and Boys in DRRM Situation) in Catanduanes, specifically, to its municipalities of Virac, San Miguel, and Caramoran this July.

SAFE II Project aims to increase resilience and protection of children before, during, and after disaster through child-led activities, among others.
