Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Resource Mobilization and Grants Specialist is a vital contributor to the growth and impact of Educo Philippines. This role is focused on strategically positioning the organization within the donor landscape and working closely with a cross-functional team of technical specialists. The Specialist leads the design of high-quality, evidence-based proposals that align with Educo’s country programmatic framework and meet donor requirements. Additionally, the Resource Mobilization and Grants Specialist is responsible for identifying new funding opportunities in both development and humanitarian action, advancing pre-positioning efforts, and driving the development of impactful research projects and initiatives. Through strategic opportunity identification and the creation of well-crafted concepts, programs, and proposals, this position plays a key role in helping Educo respond to evolving community needs and achieve lasting, sustainable change.

Responsibilities
1. 1. Expand Donor Landscape and Build Strategic Partnerships: Map and analyze potential donors to identify diverse funding opportunities that align with Educo Philippines’ mission and strategic goals. Establish and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors, serving as a brand ambassador to enhance Educo’s visibility and credibility in child-focused development and humanitarian work. Strengthen Educo’s position by identifying gaps and opportunities that will support program expansion, address operational challenges, and meet emerging community needs.
2. Facilitate Networking and Engage in Strategic Collaborations: Actively participate in relevant national and regional meetings and networks to foster connections with potential partners and funders. Maintain strategic communication across the Country Office and leverage these networks to support improved grants acquisition. Represent Educo in high-impact forums to position the organization as a leading partner in child protection, education, and humanitarian assistance.
3. Support Proposal Development and Grant Acquisition Planning: Contribute to the creation of grant acquisition and management plans aligned with Educo’s programmatic priorities. Support the development of compelling project concepts and proposals by ensuring data integrity, relevance, and alignment with country frameworks. Work with program and sector leads to craft proposals that clearly articulate Educo’s impact and align with donor expectations.
4. Maintain and Update Grants Tracking and Reporting Systems: Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants tracker to ensure organized, efficient grants management. This system will support timely planning, preparation of donor reports, and project monitoring. Collaborate with sector specialists to ensure each program’s progress and impacts are captured accurately, facilitating clear and insightful donor communication.
5. Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards in Grants Management: Monitor grants for adherence to financial, legal, and programmatic requirements, collaborating with sector specialists to ensure activities meet program goals and standards. Coordinate with finance and program teams to maintain accurate documentation and reporting, providing ongoing support to program leads and ensuring Educo’s accountability and transparency to funders.
6. Promote Best Practices and Streamline Grantmaking Processes: Continuously refine grantmaking processes to integrate sectoral insights and streamline workflows. Work closely with other sector specialists to ensure alignment between programmatic goals and grant activities. Foster equitable and transparent partnerships with field-level programmatic partners, enhancing Educo’s operational effectiveness and impact.
7. Uphold Educo’s Standards and Child Safeguarding Policies: Adhere to and uphold Educo’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct, ensuring that the organization’s reputation as a child-rights-focused organization is maintained. Promote ethical standards across all grant activities to protect the fundamental rights of all individuals and communities Educo serves.
8. Perform Other Responsibilities as Needed: Undertake additional tasks as assigned by leadership to support Educo’s strategic priorities, address specific operational needs, or accomplish defined goals. Remain flexible to organizational demands, contributing to a responsive and impactful program environment.

Essential qualifications
1. A graduate of Community Development or Development Communications or another course may be considered if he/ she has the experience and competency requirements for the post.
2. With at least three (3) year experience in resource mobilization, grants acquisition and program development
3. Excellent in technical writing
4. It is preferred that the point of hire is within the area the position is located
