Community Development Facilitator

Job Summary

The CDF, under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator and Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of all project and sponsorship activities/interventions in her/his area of coverage and responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:

  • Participate in the planning and design of presentations and audio-visual aids, activity/ output templates, activity agenda, activity documentation, session guides, workplans and modification plan.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities.
  • Support in the review of quarterly, bi-annual and annual work plans and/or modification plan and project annual report.
  • Implement activities/processes ensuring attainment of project outputs and quantitative targets within defined standards of quality, integrity and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain partnership/collaboration with LGUs, schools, communities, children sector, CSOs and other stakeholders in line with the implementation of the project.
  • Report issues and concerns in connection with project operations and provide recommendations to Project Coordinator/ Sponsorship Coordinator.

Project Monitoring and Learning:

  • Accomplish activity documentation and participatory activity assessments with project stakeholders and children
  • Accomplish activity monitoring dashboard/output tracker, and submit activity reports and monthly accomplishment reports on time to Project Coordinator
  • Participate in overall program monitoring, evaluation and learning processes, tool application, and reporting

Sponsorship Activity Implementation:

  • Responsible for the implementation of sponsorship activities, like file collection, photo update and artwork collection, parent and community meetings.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of update/progress of sponsored children, to include during times of emergencies.

Perform other tasks that may be assigned, by the Project Coordinator and Sponsorship Coordinator and her/his supervisors, that are necessary within the Project’s scope of operations. The CDF is expected to ensure strict adherence to Educo’s Child Safeguarding Policy at all times and all other institutional policies of the organization.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences/ Social Work/Education/ Community Development or any related field.  Graduates of other courses may be considered if she/he has the experience and competency requirements of the post. Those with a background in  Inclusive Education have an advantage.
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in community/social development work or volunteer activities
  • Experience working in education, early childhood care and development, child protection and governance projects targeting children and their communities
  • Experience in community organizing/ community mobilizing
  • Background in handling and maintaining trackers, gathering information in the field

We are offering:

  • A fixed-term contract for one (1) year, subject for evaluation after six (6) months, with possibility of extension. To start immediately.
